Prestigious Annual Healthcare Award to be presented on 12th May: Nurses Day 2011!
On Thursday 12th May: Nurses Day 2011, the winner of our long awaited Annual Excellence in Healthcare Award will be announced!
This year we have had some very impressive winners for our quarterly awards. The Senior Management Team will deliberate which of them is deserving of the prestigious Annual Award and who will be presented with the Winner's Trophy and an outstanding £500!! To assist the Senior Management Team in their decision it is up to the Liverpool, Bristol, Torquay, Fife and Bournemouth offices to put a case forward for why their finalist should win! We want to hear what their colleagues think of them, we want to hear further commendations from clients and updated staff assessments, we want to be bombarded with overwhelming evidence as to which of these great staff members of ours should win!

Q4 joint Winners!
- Bournemouth HCA Sathsara Hewa Batage
Sam has worked for Newcross since November 2010 and has high staff assessment scores with excellent feedback from clients. He has shown a great commitment both to Newcross and his role of Healthcare Assistant.
Comments from clients include:
Bethal House: Spoken to Mercy (MATRON)- She commented on excellent service from Sam- he took over from her when she was dealing with Resident that had had an accident and Mercy needed to do something else as well...Sam offered his services and did an excellent job at looking after the resident, and followed instructions. The Malthouse: spoken to PAT the manager- she has had really good feedback from all of her team- Sam is a pleasure to work with, he is also very good at working on own unsupervised and is keen to assist when he is free.
Karen Shillcock also evidenced to the Senior Management Team a number of occasions where Sam picked up shifts even when not showing as available and changed his plans to help us out.

Billy has worked for Newcross for over 3 years.

- Violet Machona RGN Bristol!
Violet was chosen as she stood out above the other nominees and has displayed excellent performance and commitment to Newcross the past quarter, she has displayed positive and effective behaviours in her role of Trained Nurse through the Bristol office and upheld the values of Newcross. The Senior Management Team were especially impressed with her staff assessment scores and testimonials from clients. Violet originally started working for Newcross in January 2006 and had a short break away then returned in April 2010. For over 5 years her staff assessments have excellent scores and feedback from clients is outstanding:
