Titans Score Sponsorship with Newcross
We're excited to announce Newcross has just signed a sponsorship deal to support local rugby league team Plymouth Titans with a new team strip and training equipment. This support will ensure the team has the resources to develop their players and help them grow from strength to strength over the next two seasons.
The presentation of the new strip was made on Saturday 7th July 2012 to a very excited team, who were eager to get playing and debut their new look. The design of the new kit is based on the team strip from the 2005 season and consists of a black and white V shape on a green background. This design has special significance to the club as it's closely based on their inaugural team strip, and even though the club had been in existence for many years before that, 2005 saw the introduction of their first ever, bespoke design, team kit.
Newcross Healthcare CEO Stephen Pattrick said, "Newcross has always been committed to supporting community activities, but this is the first time we've sponsored a Rugby team! We're very excited to be working with Plymouth Titans, especially as we have a personal connection with the team through one of our Newcross nurses."
Plymouth Titans Head Coach, Rob Stockwell, said, "Plymouth Titans RLFC are very proud and pleased to be associated with Newcross Healthcare. The support of Newcross is pivotal to both the development of Plymouth Titans rugby league club as a club and further development of Rugby league as a sport in the Southwest of England."
Plymouth branch manager Michelle Damerell made the presentation of the new kit just prior to kick off of the South West Cup semi-final match against North Devon Raiders. While the Titans played some of their best rugby of the season, buoyed by the opportunity to debut their new strip, they conceded the game to the Raiders 28 - 44.
