Are you a positive, energetic and fun male Healthcare Assistant who enjoys helping people achieve greater independence?
We are recruiting experienced HCAs to join our Community Care team in Cardiff. This package involves supporting a young adult with a spinal cord injury who requires 24/7 support.
This is a rewarding opportunity to deliver high-quality, person-centred care, working closely with the wider healthcare team to promote comfort, safety, dignity and wellbeing.
The ideal candidate would be young-minded, encouraging and able to build a great rapport whilst supporting the client's rehabilitation, independence and personal goals. Experience in providing complex care is advantageous, but not essential as full training will be provided.

Your responsibilities:

• Personal care and moving and handling support: Assisting with daily routines and transfers to promote comfort and wellbeing
  
  

• Companionship: Offering warmth, kindness and a friendly face
  
  

• Promoting independence and rehabilitation: Encouraging clients to live fulfilled lives with autonomy
  
  

• Community access: Helping clients engage in their local community
  
  

• Medication support: Safe, timely administration of medication
  
  

• Support with Bowel Management and Autonomic Dyreflexia

What we're looking for:

• At least 3 months of paid professional care experience (or personal care experience in the UK)
  
  

• Confidence supporting individuals with limited mobility (moving and handling)

• This specific package requires a male carer.

• The right to work in the UK
  
  

• Registration with SSSC (applicants in Scotland) or SCW (applicants in Wales)
  
  

• Ability to understand both verbal and written English to follow care plans and communicate effectively
