Paediatric Community Complex Care Assistant - Swansea

Your role: Supporting Independence | Enriching Lives
We are recruiting experienced and complex trained Healthcare Assistants to join our
Children's Community Care team across Swansea, offering a range of shifts including
days and waking nights. This role involves delivering person-centred care in clients'
homes, supporting with personal care, moving and handling, medication administration
and clinical needs.
We are looking for candidates with previous complex care experience who are confident
working independently, reliable and flexible, with a full driving licence and access
to a vehicle preferred.

Your responsibilities
Personal care and support: Assisting with daily routines to promote comfort and wellbeing.
Companionship: Offering warmth, kindness and a friendly face.
Promoting independence: Encouraging clients to live fulfilled lives with autonomy.
Community access: Helping clients engage in their local community.
Medication support: Safe, timely administration of medication.
Palliative and end of life care (where applicable): Providing compassionate care during life's most sensitive moments.
What you need
At least 6 months of paid professional care experience (or personal care experience in the UK).
Confidence supporting individuals with limited mobility (moving and handling).
Experience in PEG care, cough assist, tracheostomy and suctioning is an advantage, however training will be provided.
A willingness to complete training and competencies.
The right to work in the UK.
Registration with SSSC (applicants in Scotland) or SCW (applicants in Wales).
Ability to understand both verbal and written English to follow care plans and communicate effectively.
