As one of the UK’s leading providers of healthcare staffing and professional development, we empower thousands of health and social care professionals with smarter workforce tools, free digital learning, and accredited training.

By combining professional excellence and intelligent technology with genuine human compassion, we’re shaping a more connected, caring future for healthcare. Our values guide everything we do, ensuring exceptional care for patients and unwavering support for our teams.

Who are you?

If you like structure and predictability, this probably isn’t for you. But if you thrive when the phones are buzzing, the clock’s ticking, and your decisions make a real difference – keep reading.

We’re looking for an Operational Shift Leader to oversee performance across both our HealthForce and Community Care operations outside of core hours. You’ll be at the heart of the action – leading your team to deliver results, driving growth, and solving challenges in real time.

This role blends leadership and delivery – you’ll be rolling up your sleeves and doing the do, while setting the pace for the rest of your shift.

What will you do?

Whilst a full job description can be supplied here are a few of the key responsibilities for the role:

  • Acting as the point of escalation for your shift – resolving issues and supporting your team to keep everything on track.
  • Driving shift performance across HealthForce and Community Care – owning your hours, results, and delivery targets.
  • Filling shifts and managing workforce deployment to keep client commitments running smoothly.
  • Tackling complex community care challenges – thinking outside the box, finding solutions, and ensuring continuity of care.
  • Owning new business that lands in your shift – onboarding, coordinating, and setting it up for success.
  • Handling client complaints or escalations swiftly and professionally.
  • Managing workforce performance issues in real time – addressing problems before they grow.
  • Reporting performance and handing over shift updates to the Regional Bookings Manager and operational leads.
What we’ll be looking for:
  • Someone who thrives on accountability, energy, and pace.
  • You’re a natural problem solver who can stay calm under pressure, make decisions confidently, and inspire others to perform at their best.
  • You’ll be just as comfortable filling a shift as you are leading one.
  • This isn’t a desk job or a box-ticking exercise – it’s a chance to lead from the front, keep the operation moving, and play a pivotal role in the growth and success of the region.
  • Flexible to work weekends and bank holidays.
  • Bonus points for healthcare knowledge!
