Reporting to:Community Care Nurse Manager
Location:Blended working between home and community visits. Ideally based around Manchester, Leeds or Sheffield, with travel across the wider North and Midlands region. Travel is included in working hours.
Salary:£42,500 plus performance bonus up to £3,000 per year and car allowance of £320 per month, plus mileage.
Contract type:Full-time, permanent contract
Working pattern:Core hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:30, with some flexibility. Out-of-hours work may be required for client visits. 37.5 hours per week.

You will work as part of a national team of nurses at Newcross Healthcare. With an allocated territory, you will have a dedicated caseload, working with a team of healthcare assistants and nurses to deliver first-class care and support.
What Will You Do?
A full job description is available, but below are some of the key responsibilities.
- Be visible and accessible to service users, families and carers, working together to ensure efficient, effective and caring services.
- Devise, implement and evaluate care plans, risk assessments and associated care documentation, while maintaining a person-centred approach.
- Work alongside and support the registered manager to ensure all referrals are reviewed and assessed.
- Maintain a safe service as a trusted voice and adviser, ensuring full competency sign-off.
- Support, monitor and be accountable for delegated clinical tasks to care leads and healthcare workers.
- Work closely with the senior clinical lead nurse to support continual improvement of community care.
- Provide clinical leadership, support, supervision and direction to care leads and healthcare workers, ensuring their training and competencies are maintained.
- Manage and communicate proactively to ensure safe, responsive and effective care, reducing risk.
- Be solution-driven and take part in crisis management of care packages.
- Support the registered manager with debriefing service users and carers following critical incidents and difficult situations.
- Undertake clinical investigations when delegated.
- Provide support and guidance out of hours via on-call.
What We Are Looking For
- Registered Children’s Nurse (RNC). You must be a qualified children’s nurse with current NMC registration, RN8, RNC or RSCN.
- Experience of leading a team and providing clinical leadership, support, supervision and direction to care associates and healthcare workers.
- Experience in paediatric settings such as community care, complex care, children’s hospice, paediatric high dependency or paediatric intensive care.
- At least two years of post-qualification experience in a similar field.
- Experience of care planning, including devising, implementing and evaluating care plans and risk assessments.
- Experience of supporting and monitoring care leads and healthcare workers.
- Ability to undertake clinical investigations when required.
- Strong clinical skills supporting children with complex health needs, such as PEG, seizures, ventilation, tracheostomy care, CIC and dystonia. Training will be provided where needed.
