Salary:            Pay rate of £18.96

What will you do?

This position offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits. FuturU are looking for suitably qualified assessors to join their growing business. You would be responsible for the delivery of Social Services & Healthcare SVQ2 & SVQ3 qualifications. 

As well as being a recognised End point assessment organisation and Awarding organisation in England, FuturU is also an approved Delivery centre in Scotland.

Whilst a full job description can be supplied here are a few of the key responsibilities for the role:

  • Assess and document learners competence against industry specific standards, within agreed Service Level Agreement (SLAs) and using appropriate technology systems 
  • Engage in regular training and standardisation activities to ensure a consistent approach to qualification delivery
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of FuturU policies and procedures 
  • Maintain and provide evidence of ongoing, relevant Continuous Professional Development (CPD)  

Responsibilities 

  • The role of the SVQ Assessor is deliver qualifications to the learner and assess their knowledge and competence throughout the duration, providing detailed feedback to the learner. 
  • Deliver quality assessments, in line with national occupational standards
  • Utilise relevant systems required such as E-portfolio systems (Onefile) 
  • Attend standardisation events to ensure quality, compliance and consistency across the standard being assessed 
  • Engage with the wider Quality team and FuturU business

Other duties 

  • Maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders to deliver required SLAs 
  • Report feedback from customers to identify trends and potential risk 
  • Identify and escalate potential breach of security or compliance 
  • Report any issues or complaints to the Senior Management team. 
  • Opportunities for participation in development new resources and processes.

Qualifications & Experience 

  • Occupational competency in relevant vocational sector equivalent to SVQ3
  • Holds an appropriate assessor qualification, such as L&D9DI or CAVA  
  • An understanding of industry requirements including industry bodies 
  • Experience of producing clear, accurate and concise written reports
  • A driving licence and have flexibility to travel across Scotland
  • Educated to GCSE maths/English grade C and above (or equivalent qualification) 
  • This role will be subject to an enhanced PVG
  • Prioritising and processing large volumes of work whilst maintaining accuracy 
  • Well organised and able to support multiple learners
  • Have excellent time management and organisational skills and are able to work independently 
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
