Newcross Healthcare is looking for a talented and motivated Finance Assistant to join our amazing team! Reporting to the Head of Financial Planning & Reporting, the Finance Assistant will drive financial performance and strategic decision-making across the business. The role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a deep understanding of financial processes.

Salary:                      Up to £25,000 + Study Support

What You’ll Be Doing 

In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our finance function, where no two days are the same! 

You will:

·       Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records, including journals, ledgers, and balance sheets
·       Assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting, including preparing accruals and prepayments
·       Support the finance team with day-to-day operations
·       Maintain and reconcile ledgers, including balance sheet accounts and inter-company.
·       Set up payments for purchasing and payroll
·       Continuously improve and streamline accounting processes
·       Assume responsibility for Weekly finance reporting and other weekly control tasks
·       Support with annual and ad hoc rate changes
·       Manage and maintain charge and pay rates in Newcross’ systems
·       Support with payroll queries
·       Monitor the payroll tickets and interactive chat service
·       Support Payroll function for the Newcross weekly Payroll
·       Ensure exceptions are cleared weekly to ensure employees are paid accurately 
·       Ensure employee references are completed in a timely manner
·       Assist Purchasing in managing POs, invoices, and supplier runs
·       Support business planning with financial analysis and modelling
·       Support the finance team with ad-hoc tasks as required

·       Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
